Janelle Peterson 

Animal Attendant

Janelle joined our team in March 2026 after the renovation and expansion of South Coast Animal Hospital. 

​

Janelle loves her role as Animal Attendant and enjoys supporting the team in their valuable veterinary work.

​

Janelle thrives in her role of keeping our pet wards sparkly clean, topping up supplies for the vet team and she is a ninja in the laundry! Janelle loves spending time with all the pets staying at SCAH giving them lots of pats and cuddles and finding ways to reduce their stress levels including finding calm tunes to listen to. Janelle has discovered the cats love classical, the dogs like to DJ and the birds they like to sing solo!

Janelle has spent a great deal of her working life taking care of children and their pets in various locations across Adelaide and The NT. Janelle has cared for dogs, cats, sheep, cows, donkeys, horses, alpacas, chickens, a turtle, oh and 40 goats. Janelle has worked in hospitals, schools, homes, cattle stations and National Parks and has also enjoyed pet, house and farm sitting all of which she believes has helped prepare her for this role.

Outside of work Janelle loves spending time with her family, her 3 human nephews and furry nephew Kev, a Staffy x and furry niece Hazel, a Cavoodle (pictured) and she also loves dabbling in art, sewing and gardening.
